Lake of the Woods Fishing

Lake of the Woods has provided some of the best fishing grounds in the world for decades and is renowned as a sports fisherman's paradise. Tomahawk Resort rests peacefully on the shores of this massive shimmering pond while under the cool surface lurk Walleye, Pike, Bass, Muskie, Lake Trout, and Crappie. Complete fishing packages, including 17', 18' and 19' fully-equipped fishing boats are available at Tomahawk Resort or bring your own boat and we'll tell you where the hot spots are. Come to Tomahawk and share the Lake's natural abundance.

We are equipped to take care of all your fishing and boating needs. A marina attendant is on duty all day to assist you with reading navigational lake charts, types of tackle to use and where to find the hot spots. Our fully-equipped 17' Lund boats are the best rental fishing rigs on the water and they're powered by 50 hp four-stroke Yamaha outboards (purchased new every year to provide you with dependable service). If you bring your own boat, we'll assign you a dock slip with an electric hook-up. We have finger-type floating docks with tire bumpers to protect your boat. Board and unload with ease! We offer guide service, lake charts, gas, licenses, bait, and fishing tips.

Accommodations - Two Bedroom Cottages

Make your vacation plans for one of our cozy two bedroom cottages. Like the three bedroom cottage, you'll enjoy comfort and convenience in a rugged wilderness setting. Preparing northern cuisine is a chef's delight in the fully-equipped kitchen or out on the gas barbeque. Relax in front of the T.V. with satellite programming or unwind with a spectacular view on the sundeck. Each of the two bedrooms has a double bed with linens and blankets supplied and the bathroom with shower/tub-shower is stocked with towels. There is electric heat in each of the rooms with individual thermostat control.

Three Bedroom Cottages - Ultra Deluxe

The kitchen is fully-equipped or, for outdoor dining, a gas barbeque and a picnic table are just a step away on the sun deck. Satellite television, air conditioning and fireplace make your spacious living room seem like home, but if you're looking for a more peaceful form of entertainment, take in the panoramic view from your window or step outside and experience a flaming Canadian sunset. The end of the day ... one of the bedrooms offers a queen-size bed and the other two each have a pair of twin beds. Linens, blankets, and daily towel change are supplied and individual thermostats control heat in each room.

Three to Five Bedroom Cottages

These accommodations are ideal if individual sleeping arrangements are required for groups of up to ten, for large families, or for several couples who want to be together in one cottage. Both the three and five bedroom cottages offer a great view of the lake, plenty of space in the living and dining rooms and kitchens with all the conveniences of home.

The three bedroom offers a total of three twin beds, threedouble bed, three queen beds and a four piece bathroom. The two story, five bedroom cottage has three bedrooms upstairs and two bedrooms on the main floor with a total of three queen beds, one double bed and seven single beds. There are two bathrooms, a three piece upstairs and a four piece on the main floor. Of course, as with all Tomahawk cottages, both the three and five bedroom units have a large patio, gas barbeque, fireplace, air conditioning, and satellite television..

Lake of the Woods on a Houseboat

If you are looking for an adventurous alternative to other vacations, chart a course for Tomahawk and shove off for a Floating Cottage Holiday. Travel to secluded beaches, the best fishing spots or just navigate the lake and enjoy the spectacular scenery.

Tomahawk Houseboats have it all: large living/dining area, fully-equipped kitchen, TV/VCR, CD player, three-piece bath, a huge top deck, and there is room to sleep as many as eight people. Large screened windows surround the front of the boat and sliding patio doors open on to the front deck. Outside the back door you'll find a gas barbeque for creating meals with a genuine northern flavour.

If you would rather keep your feet on dry ground, we have horse shoe pits and a volleyball court where impromptu matches are organized and everyone is invited to play. There's a playground and a hiking trail winds through the woods, where you'll see the natural vegetation and rock formations that make up the Canadian Shield.

Within a few minutes drive is a nine hole golf course and minature golf. Sioux Narrows has some of the area's finest gift shops and some great dining establishments if you're planning a night out. There's something for everyone at Tomahawk Resort!
