Make your fishing dreams come true with a trip to northern Newfoundland or Labrador

 

Northern Sport Fishing operates 3 locations in Newfoundland and is pleased to announce 2 new locations in beautiful Labrador starting in 1999. From these lodges you will have the opportunity to fish three excellent rivers for Atlantic Salmon, Brook and Sea-Run Trout. Fly-fishing only for Salmon (Wet & Dry). Spincast is permitted in some areas for trout.

Experience fly-fishing at its very best from late June through August.

We provide:

  • Experienced guides that will ensure you a successful fishing trip. They'll take you where the fishing's good.

  • Boats and motors, to get you to other fishing spots other than the river the lodge is located on.

  • At least eight hours guided fishing per day.

  • Cleaning, boxing and freezing of fish for the trip home.

  • Weekly or two week packages available. Minimum of three day trips with or without pickup and return to airport in Deer Lake.

  • Full-time cook provides delicious home cooked meals daily.

  • Local tied Salmon and Trout flies sold at Lodge.

  • Also, Big Game Hunting for Moose, Caribou and Black Bear from September to November. Spring Bear hunts available as well.

Southern Back Waters Lodge
  • Species - Atlantic Salmon, Sea Run & Arctic Char
  • Price - $2,000 US per week
  • Fishing License - $60 Canadian
Hawk River Lodge
  • Species - Atlantic Salmon, Sea Run & Brook Trout
  • Price - $2,000 US per week
  • Fishing License - $60 Canadian
Things to Bring:
  • Tackle - we recommend that you bring glass or graphite fly rods in the 8' to 9' range designed for #7, #8, or #9 floating lines.
  • Hip boots and chest waters with non-slip soles.
  • An assortment of clothing for both cool and warm weather, also rain gear.
  • Fishermen should bring their sleeping bags along.
  • Also personal items you may need.
  • Don't forget your camera!
